Directed by John Bowker filmed in 2003 through Pipedreams Entertainment and distributed through Sub Rosa Studios you can often find this film in a double feature with Housebound another film from the year this found footage SOV horror flick.
The film begins as a man is in a room with a vhs tape looking like he’s possessed and confused his sooon to be found out wife all tied up.
Next you know wifey is untied takes tape and runs from her hubby saying she doesn’t know why he was sacrificing life with her and family.
We end up believing the worst…
Then, a guy wakes up gets barraged by his lady for not having a real paying job, him being the reason she drinks and all that jazz, heads into work only to get laid off by his boss only to come home to his Significant other making hot sweaty sea monkey love to another…
Going for a drive we see said guy end up at an empty warehouse where a woman showed up to give him a tape he’ll like.
So what we get here is a kind of anthology involving the first time I see actress Felicia Pandolfi who seems to be the entity behind this cursed tape going around.
It’s like she’s trying to convince Scott played by Rob Merickel of committing bad things through the tales told. Practical effects, oatmeal demons with plots of revenge and murder I did enjoy and was entertained by this film. Slightly erotic in tone the women in the film are decent looking but you can tell the main actors were a group of fanboys of horror who got together to be in a film but gosh darn there’s a dude with a mustache that droops straight into hell. My buddy moe would definitely place him in our mustache matinee month.
Pretty awesomely cool plot, decent acting a little lore involved and you have a nice Duffy of an indie film from Oregon also seemed like some good talent definitely some interesting characters. I recommend it. Has been distributed by BCI Entertainment… and Skullface Astronaught Productions.
